Original era manufacture. Originally a bright finished blade, now displaying considerable age staining from age and use with evidence, however no real corrosion issues. Deeply stamped U.S.M.C., CHATILLON N.Y. on the surface.  Sound original finish wood grips secured with three brass rivets, chip in the pommel on the left side. Standard, heavy-duty brown leather scabbard which is maker marked and dated, BOYT 43.
