Original era manufacture. Bright, original finish blade, showing very minor areas of light staining from age and use, factory sharpened cutting edge. The letters U.S.M.C. are deeply struck into the left side of the blade, to the right of those is the original Clyde Cutlery Co. logo. Most often the Clyde logo has long ago been worn away from service use. Very sound original finish wood grips secured with four steel rivets. Standard heavy duty brown leather scabbard in good condition, the reverse is makers marked Boyt 42.
