Original era manufacture. Massive bolo style blade made by Village Blacksmith. The blade is bright but shows some evidence of light pitting in its surface. Simple wooden slab grips secured with four brass rivets, few dings and dents in the grips near the pommel. Nice brown leather scabbard which is maker marked Boyt and dated 1944. The blade is a snug fit into the scabbard, you really have to tug on it.
