Original era manufacture. Later WWII style OD canvas cover with the long ear securing flaps and drainage hole in the bottom. Inside is a decent black enameled canteen with the early style flat black plastic cap. Minor chip in the enamel on the right shoulder of the canteen. Stainless steel cup with is dated 1944 on its handle and displays several period inkstamps of the owners name and service number. The cover is very clean.
