Original era manufacture. US WWII USMC canteen set. Unlined, long strap pattern cover without the drain hole in the bottom. Strong colors, no staining, one small hole in the fabric on the reverse. WWI pattern aluminum bodied canteen with cork, AGM Co.1945 maker marked, a very interesting 1941 dated aluminum cup with a steel handle, which has Tientsen China crudely cut into the side. Other scrimshaw can be seen on the bottom. Certainly a story there with this old cup. Likely this is an assembled set as the cup displays more wear and use than the cover and canteen.
