Original era manufacture. 1st pattern cover without the drain hole in its base. No markings to the cover as is typical for Gyrene 782 gear. The cover is clean with no holes or tears. Included is a stainless steel canteen and an aluminum 1945 dated cup. Normal age and wear, no cork washer in the canteen screwcap. At some point in the canteen's life someone stenciled USMC across the front of the cover. Small snag in the cover on the reverse, clean otherwise.
