Original era manufacture. A well used heavy tan canvas seabag issued to PFC M.K. Weisner, who served in the 2nd Division during WWII. Ancestry shows him in July 1944 with 6th Marine Rgt, 2nd MD FMF, and in October 1945 with HQ BN, 2nd MD, FMF. Written on the side of the bag are the places PFC Wiesner saw during his service with the Marine Corps; Boot Camp San Diego, Linda Vista, Camp Pendleton, Camp Elliott, Linda Vista, Pearl Harbor, Maui, Tinian, Saipan, Okinawa, Iheya Nagasaki Japan, Sasebo, U.S.A., The End. Accompanying the bag is a copy of his 2010 obituary, and collector's notes regarding his service. A nice "Folk Art" look to it, from a well-traveled Marine.
