Original era manufacture. A depot made lower portion of the M1941 Pack System. Light tan canvas, with the lettering Gaudalcanal Solomon Islands, written on the flap. On the left edge is a handwritten name S. Bates.The pack displays considerable age and wear, but no real damage. A great relic from the Guadalcanal campaign 1942-43.
