Original era manufacture. Dark blue wool removable top and band, piped in red, no moth issues. Pliable black leather visor which is securely sewn to the body of the hat. Black leather adjustable chinstrap with two darkened bronze USMC side buttons.The lining is a rose colored silk-like material, covered in a pale yellow plastic, maker marked Brooks California, and named in several places to the original owner, one H.E.Putman.Large size, about 7 1/4, normal age and wear, slightly flattened from storage.
