Original era manufacture. This well used, early production Kabar style utility knife bears the PAL logo on the obverse ricasso and USMC on the reverse. The blade is now in the white and shows considerable wear with areas on both sides of the blade showing corrosion pitting. Narrow style stacked leather grips with no chips or missing segments, Red and black spacers on the grip between the guard and pommel. Thick steel pommel disc with a circular blade tang visible. Very stout leather scabbard with an intact pommel strap, however the securing snap needs repair. An early production knife which no doubt saw it's share of service in the Pacific during WWII.
