Original era manufacture. Early production USMC Kabar, with red/black spacers above the guard. The issue pommel has been removed and replaced with a simple brass cap, through which the rectangular tang can be seen. The blade displays honest age and wear, sporting a purplish hued finish, with a touch of surface corrosion near the point. Heavy leather, theater made sheath with an operable pommel strap. Interesting knife.
