Original era manufacture. Tan canvas sea bag with a handpainted 6th Marine Division and Defense Battalion insignia on its sides. The Marine's name R.WOLF appears stenciled in about a dozen places. The names of many well known Pacific War locations are written on the side of the bag, Guam, Camp LeJeune, Paris Island, Pearl Harbor, Cuba, Panama, San Diego, Midway, Port Vila, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Guadalcanal, Vella La Vella, Suva, Samoa, San Francisco and partially written Japan, Yokuska. All of the stitched seams have been have been overpainted in battleship gray paint. No holes or tears, just service wear from this Gyrene's journey during WWII.
