Original era manufacture. US WWII USMC canteen set, drainhole cover with a period wartime stencil which indicates use by the Weapons Company of the 25th Marines, 4th Marine Division. The cover exhibits hones wear and use, and the markings remain quite clear.Black enameled steel canteen, maker marked B.E.Co. 1942, typical chipping to the surface as shown.Stainless steel cup with a folding handle which is maker marked W.C.W., the handle is not dated.During WWII the 4th Marine Division saw combat on the islands of Kwajalein, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima.
