Original era manufacture. US WWII USMC wool blanket with Marine's name stenciled on the stripe; J. CORDLE.Bed size blanket with a dark stripe on each end, and the stenciled letters USMC at center on one side. No holes, tears or stains, just normal age and wear. Doing a quick Ancestry search I found a James W. Cordle serving with the Casual Company, Marine Barracks, Navy Yard, Washington DC in 1943.
