Original era manufacture. Standard WWII Navy Good Conduct Medal, slot brooch, named to one Godfred Hunninghaus, and dated 1945, with a Second Award clasp unattached.I did a quick look on Ancestry thinking that this would be a cinch to figure out...well, not so fast. There were two listings for a man with the last name of Hunninghaus, or man Godfred, and another named Frederick. Further delving revealed Godfred born in 1922, and Frederick in 1917, both having immigrated from Germany as children.And, of course, lots of information on Frederick (MTB-23), and minimal information on Godfred. So now it's your turn to try.
