Original period manufacture. Five inch polished steel blade showing honest service use and wear with no nicks in it's cutting edge. The blade exhibits light scratching to the surface, a small spot of surface corrosion and a slightly blunted point. Dark brown stacked leather grip with a thin steel pommel disc which is pinned to the blade tang. RH PAL 35 marked on the reverse ricasso, USN Mark 1 obverse. Sound russet leather scabbard, of riveted and sewn construction, displaying honest wear and age from service use.
