Original period manufacture. Kabar style utility knife as issued by the US Navy during WWII. Clear markings on the guard. Mix of steel patina and blue finish on the blade.Nice stacked leather grip with no missing, or chipped segments, thick pommel cap with a rectangular tang.Sound gray plastic scabbard with a matching color canvas belt loop and pommel strap. Overall this knife exhibits normal age and wear and is quite sound. The guards have been bent back in order to tighten up the wedges in the grip, a common practice back in the day.
