Original period manufacture. A sound example exhibiting honest wear and use. Most of the original finish remains on the blade, the point remains sharp, with wear to the finish, and evidence of a light sharpening. The steel guard with is slightly bent back on the ends (this helps keep the leather grip sections tight) with clear markings as shown. Sound stacked leather grip with no cracked or missing sections. Pinned pommel displaying a rectangular tang.Gray plastic scabbard with a matching color canvas belt loop and pommel strap. Stamped into the plastic is the name J.L. Burke, so a possibility for research exists.
