Original era manufacture. An early production M3 from one of the smallest suppliers of this famous knife, Robeson Cutlery. Blade marked U.S. M3 R.C.CO. on the obverse, with a fair amount of original finish remaining. Blade shows honest wear and use, to be expected from an early issue knife. Stacked leather grip, first wedge behind the guard may be a replacement. First pattern M8 scabbard with a light OD canvas belt loop and pommel strap and made without the M1910 hook attachment. Typical age and wear for an early issue WWII combat knife.
