Original era manufacture. A nice quality swagger-stick which measures 22 inches in length, with chromed alloy fittings, with an applied EGA on the top. Engraved on the cap is Captain R. L. Neef USMC. Ancestry provides a wealth of information on Captain, later Lt. Colonel Neef, 1915-2015. He served as a Private in China from 1938-1939, 1943 finds him as a Gunnery Sergeant 4th Para Bn San Diego, 1st Sergeant January 1945 5th MarDiv, wounded on Iwo Jima 4 March 1945, 2nd Lieutenant July 1945, 1st Lieutenant 1949, Captain July 1954, Lt. Colonel 1966. Absolutely a career Marine well worth further research.
