Original era manufacture. This is a US WWII WAVES purse with shoulder strap. Identified to a Jane Gerken who served in the Navy during WWII. Some scuffs from use and one side of the strap has pulled away from the body of the purse. Two labels inside.Jane Gerken passed away January 8, 2017, five months prior to her husbands passing who also served in WWII. They were married 49 years. She was from NJ, was a teacher, received her master's degree and was a gifted musician.
