Original era manufacture. US WWII Woman's Auxiliary Voluntary Enlisted Services (W.A.V.E.S.) Identified uniform consisting of a jacket and skirt with insignia.Her name is on two labels inside her uniform, Anne Elaine Mikalson (Wainwright). Her insignia shows her to be a nurse.She enlisted in the WAVES and served her country with distinction at Bethesda Naval Hospital where she helped WWII wounded regain their speech. The recovery of one such soldier, Major Ramos, was so astonishing, that ultimately it was the hospital commander that was left speechless. After the war she became a radio announcer. After that back to private practice in her speech correction career.The Jacket has a 34 inch bust and 21 1/2 inches long sleevesJacket is 25 inches longThe skirt has a waist of 26 inches and is 26 1/2 inches longbuttons are present. The zipper is intact. No holes, tears or stainingVery sharp looking uniform.
