Original era manufacture. A nice large grouping from a local estate. The soldier served during WWII, Korea and the Cold War, earning the Combat Infantry badge in WWII, and I believe Korea, and had the Bronze Star retroactively awarded to him in 1968. In addition to the Bronze Star he also was presented with a Purple Heart. After Korea, he left the Army and joined the Air Force serving until the early 1970's. The grouping includes a number of his medals (named Bronze Star), Purple Heart, large ribbon bar and a massive archive of records and Bronze Star certificate. To clarify a question regarding the Purple Heart, the ribbon for same appears in his 16 place ribbon bar, and an official copy of an Outstanding NCO Award, he received in 1960, states the awarding of a CIB, Purple Heart and Bronze Star for valor for his previous Army service in WWII.
