Original era manufacture. US M1905 Bayonet, SA mfg, and dated 1917, which has been extensively modified into a fighting knife. The blade has been shortened into a 7.75 inch length, with a clipped point. The lock mechanism has been removed and the grips sanded down, with the pommel ground down. The canvas cover has been removed from the scabbard, exposing the rawhide covered wood core, and a heavy copper belt clip has been fashioned to affix the rig to a soldiers belt.
