Original era manufacture. A rather elaborate smoking stand with a very dark brass patina finish. The base measures 7x4 inches and it stands about 5 inches in height. The center piece is the base of a 40mm shell casing with four large caliber cartridges mounted on the sides (one is loose), the edge of the casing shows where four coin cigarette rests were once attached. The casing is flanked by two rectangular boxes to hold old-fashioned match boxes.
