Original era photography. Prewar album assembled by Leslie Vance Roberts of the USS Idaho (BB-42), inside the album on the first page is his membership certificate Hui o Pele Hawaii, proving his visit to the Kilauea volcano on the Island of Hawaii, dated 28th of April 1937. The photos are primarily military in nature showing the typical life aboard a battleship in the late 1930's. Transiting the Panama Canal, sightseeing in Hawaii and family and friends. Lacquered wood covers, the front cover board displaying painted decoration and Aloha Hawaii. Both covers are loose as is the spine cover. The pages are not loose, looks like no photos are missing or have been removed.
