Original era publication. Original envelope, carried aboard the Airship ZR3, built by the Zeppelin works in Germany, which was destined to become the USS Los Angeles. The flight honored her delivery voyage from Germany to the USA in October of 1924. The Los Angeles became the most successful of the rigid airships employed by the US Navy, decommissioned and dismantled in 1939.
